Civil engineer · Sweden

Christopher Wang

I'm a civil engineer who builds software at hackathons. My projects mix engineering, sustainability and AI agents: digital twins, emissions dashboards, drug-data tools and competitive bots, built quickly with small teams.

Nordvakt: phishing-awareness training for EU SMEs

Nordvakt sends a company's staff simulated phishing emails, then trains the people who click. It is aimed at NIS2 compliance, with training in Swedish, Estonian, Danish and English. On the team building its signup and checkout site, I fixed a mobile layout bug where the longer Swedish, Estonian and Danish footer labels overflowed the screen. I built an admin server function that marks invoice orders as paid and provisions the customer's account. I also made the email sender configurable, so developers can test verification emails locally without touching production delivery.

MergeGuard
Nebius & Tavily Hackathon

MergeGuard

A system of agents that keeps parallel work, by people or by AI coding agents, from colliding. Sentinel scores the conflict risk between in-flight branches. Planner splits work into non-overlapping zones. Merger resolves conflicts semantically, checking current library docs as it goes.

FCL competitive strategy bot

We shipped ten versioned bot submissions and benchmarked each one against the live ladder version rather than an outdated internal baseline, which made our performance measurements reliable. I designed the final scouter2 bot, the base of our conveyor-ecocap5 v10 submission. I also built read-only tooling to pull our real ladder record and break it down by map. That showed us two map rotations we kept losing, and we fixed both.

Drug 360
Hackathon

Drug 360: unified drug intelligence

Type in a drug name and get a single card with its literature, clinical trials and FDA/EMA regulatory status. These normally sit in separate databases. Papers are ranked by citations and show their abstracts inline. Built on the Amass API.

Fridson digital-twin floor plan with sensor hotspots
Zero to Demo · Copenhagen

Fridson: AI property monitoring

A predictive-maintenance dashboard for apartments and offices. It pairs a digital twin of the building (occupancy, sensor data, maintenance status) with AI-guided action plans for emergencies. The demo covered two real scenarios: a resident locked out, and a leaking roof. Built by a team of four in 36 hours.

Map of field routes for two teams around Lund
Field research

Pantrap field routes

A route planner for a biodiversity field campaign around Lund, covering 16 ponds over three days with two teams. Stops are ordered by real road distance using nearest-neighbour plus 2-opt routing. Work is split into balanced territories, and each team gets a printable checklist.

CyberBridge Summer School: OT/ICS security

Two weeks of operational-technology and industrial-control-system cybersecurity, ending with a threat-intelligence exercise. My notes and the exercise vault are public.

Three wooden OfficeMonkey figures
The Boring Hackathon · Copenhagen

The Boring Monkey (OfficeMonkey)

A 3D-printed desk monkey that listens to the office and reacts when it gets too loud, so nobody has to be the one who shushes everyone. Inside is an ESP32 with a MEMS microphone that measures the noise level and triggers visual cues for occupants and facility managers.

Cursor AI Build Battle

Instant Invoice

An open-source invoice generator that runs entirely in the browser, with no backend and no login. It supports VAT, discounts, multiple currencies and Nordic OCR payment references, and exports to PDF, HTML or JSON. Built at the first Cursor Build Battle.

Sustiqon OS sustainability dashboard
Hållbarhetskväll

Sustiqon OS: sustainability through operator-centred design

An operating-system-style platform for a joinery workshop. It shows real-time and historical emissions data and turns the numbers into actions. Gamified goals, feedback loops and nudges keep employees engaged and help bring emissions down.

Canvas module
Hackathon

Centralised Canvas module with integrated chatbot

A single Canvas module to stop course information from being scattered across pages. We reorganised the existing resources so they're easier to find, prototyped a user-centred interface, and designed a chatbot for in-context help and navigation. It also works as a reusable template for course administrators.

CFD streamlines over a GT car spoiler
Coursera CFD

Airflow around a GT car spoiler

A CFD study of airflow over a GT race car's rear wing: incompressible RANS with k–ω SST turbulence. The streamlines show the flow speeding up over the wing and separating at the trailing edge, which is the pressure difference that creates downforce.
